Roller Ram Crusher
The Roller Ram on both the 4" X 6" and the 6" X 6" are built with a internal shaft, there are eight other parts built around the shaft. The 4" X 6" uses a 1" drive shaft. The 6" X 6" uses a 1 1/4" shaft.
The roller Ram is then welded solid with hard wire, this wire is harder then the metal itself. When it is build up to a certain point, it is then Hard Facing wire is used.
Construction of the Roller ram is very time consuming, there is a build up of almost 1" of welding. The temperature of the Ram is closely monitored and is kept within certain parameters, this is also time consuming.
Lower Case
Rebuilding the lower case which houses the ram is simple, it is cut off with a band saw at a certain point. The ram can be resurfaced & built up. A new lower case is also available, which is simply welded to the upper case. Contact Sierra Mfg, when this process is needed for full information.
Upper Case
The upper can not be rebuild ed for the inside impact area, a new one should be purchased. It can be repaired to a certasin point.
